You say OSA trolls figured out your identity from trolling on here? If that is the case, I would like to deliver a message to these creepy assholes.

Dear OSA fuckwads: Hello - my name is Bryon. I was on lines and staff at Mountain View, California, and even did the EPF twice at PAC when Jim Garrett was bosun. I gave $20K to the IAS, and have many, many commendations in my ethics folders. I own a set of the new Basics and Congresses. I am also declared Suppressive, due to reasons that are a mystery since nobody can send me a copy of the actual declare order.

This is a great post, although I hate you had to live it. Anyone else reading this, Nancy is right. You CAN get out. You CAN have a good life. You CAN have love and hope and time to enjoy the great gift we have of being on this rock.

Not necessarily.....

Many who would never have been expected to leave have, in fact, left.
And more will follow. Most definitely. Even some of the OSA who are reading this right now.

Great post.

I think, that you learn to appreciate life- with true freedom-, much more after you leave the cult.

It has been few years since I blew the cult - mid an ethics handeling which was supposed to help me handle my husband to join back the cult - and it was one of the best things I've done in my life.

I've reclaimed my freedom to think,freedom of speech, freedom to read what ever I choose, freedom from being made to feel guilty for not giving all my life to the cult, freedom from the Regs

and the like.
And as an ex Scio/ cultie, I now appreciate and relish ,all of the above. even more.

As Nancy said, do not be afraid, just leave. Life is much better in the WOG world.

I believe, whereever possible, huge parties should be thrown for Scientologists coming out who actually get the golden rod declare. We should make it a cause of celebration. The parties should be videotaped and you tubed as well, with the idea of making coming out as easy and fun as possible for the former Scilon.

That's exactly it. Someone still in $cientology can take stories like Lisa McPherson, that Martine (???) woman in France that just escaped, kids being treated bad in the Sea Org and dismiss them, because if they haven't seen it, they could mistakenly believe it's lies from critics (which of course it is NOT).

But the regging, the having no time off, no time to see your own family, being ass-poor, not being allowed (or being able to afford) a TV or a newspaper subscription -- all those things. They happen to EVERY Scientologist that isn't a million-dollar baby. They happen to YOU.

You KNOW when you're being regged mercilessly, you KNOW when you get bill collectors calling daily because you gave more than all your money to $ci, you KNOW when you can't see or even live with your own spouse anymore, there is something WRONG with Scientology.

DON'T IGNORE those feelings. They are from your gut, and they want what is RIGHT for you.

I don't know what power I have, other than to report your story, urge my congressman, and law enforcement/investigative agencies to address what CoS is doing, but I will do what I can.

Thank you both for your courage. It's really inspiring, and I hope that in the balance of things, despite whatever difficulties the cult tries to cause you, your life outside is rewarding, free, and all that you want.

Please, please, keep us posted, and file affidavits that the rest of us out here can cite in our letters. The authorities are listening, so don't just tell us -- tell the people who have power, FBI, etc. We'll reinforce your voice and let the authorities know that people are watching, and inaction will not be tolerated.
